- I'm a mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a sister-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a co-worker and an animal lover. I grew up the youngest of seven children and my mom cooked everyday. We rarely ate out or had take in. I'm sure most days we drove her insane. This is where I learned to cook...listening to my mom lecture me on how things should be perfectly prepared, showing me how and letting me taste some of the most memorable dishes of my life. There's a few favorite dishes and sauces she never duplicated again. I think that's why I remember them so fondly. Over the years I continue to cook but never enjoying it as much as when I have people to cook for. Now I'm blessed with a wonderful family I get to cook for everyday (well as much as possible)!
